1. When should I have my eyes examined?
The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends the following
comprehensive eye health examinations guidelines:
- Birth to 5 years:
Immediately, if parents sense a problem, otherwise by age 3 and again prior to entering school.
- School-aged children 6-19 years:
Annually
- Over 19 of age:
Every 2 years or sooner if recommended by your Optometrist.

2. Do you take insurance?
We will help you with your Insurance forms and supply you with a submission-ready receipt. |

3. Does my BC Health Card cover the eye exam fees?
The BC Health Card suppliments the exam fees for kids under 19 and seniors over 65. Tests such as HRT-3 are not covered, but may be accepted for coverage by your private medical insurance.

4. Can I sleep with my contact lenses?
It depends on the type of lens, the composition of your tear film, your eye health and
other factors.
Only your Optometrist knows for sure. |
