1. When should I have my eyes examined?

The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends the following comprehensive eye health examinations guidelines:

  • Birth to 5 years:
Immediately, if parents sense a problem, otherwise by age 3 and again prior to entering school.

  • School-aged children 6-19 years:
    Annually

  • Over 19 of age:
Every 2 years or sooner if recommended by your Optometrist.

Your eyes deserve an optometrist!

2. Do you take insurance?

We will help you with your Insurance forms and supply you with a submission-ready receipt.

3. Does my BC Health Card cover the eye exam fees?

The BC Health Card suppliments the exam fees for kids under 19 and seniors over 65. Tests such as HRT-3 are not covered, but may be accepted for coverage by your private medical insurance.

4. Can I sleep with my contact lenses?

It depends on the type of lens, the composition of your tear film, your eye health and other factors.
Only your Optometrist knows for sure.
