Dr. Michael Patz

Dr. Michael Patz has been helping patients see clearly for three decades, while living and raising his family in the Oceanside community. From his first Optometry practice in Qualicum Beach (back when there were only 1,600 residents) to the beautiful current location in Parksville, Dr. Patz has always put patient care first. His early days even included driving around to outlying communities over the old bumpy logging roads to see patients. Now he enjoys the look on his patient’s faces when he tells them there are no drops necessary at Oceanside Vision Centre! Thanks to the leading edge instruments that he uses, you will get a thorough exam with digital technology. He is also proud of the expert staff who have personally selected over 1000 frames to delight all ages. Dr. Patz belongs to Optometric Services Inc, the largest buying group in Canada, and his patients enjoy excellent products at reasonable rates.

Dr. Ian Scholfield

Dr. Ian Scholfield originally practised in the South Coast of England where he has been licenced since 1998. After immigrating to Canada with his wife and two children he worked for a specialist eye clinic for several years before obtaining his Canadian optometry license. Being located in the mid-island region for 10 years now, Dr. Scholfield has experienced a wide variety of patients' needs and established valuable links for specialist referral. With excellent technology, trained staff and competitive services already implemented, Oceanside Vision Centre has been an obvious choice for Dr. Scholfield to become associated with, and contribute to, since he joined in September 2010.
